Hunchback at Rockefeller Chapel

2000 people came to The University of Chicago’s historic Rockefeller Chapel to enjoy another transformation of our classic production of Hunchback. This opportunity provided the Redmoon team, under director Leslie Bauxbaum Danzig, to reimagine the story, the images, and the chapel in wonderful and unexpected ways. Once Upon a Time (Or the Secret Language of Birds) in France

Once Upon A Time was invited to The Festival Mondial Des Theatres de Marionnettes in Charleville-Mézières Cedex, France September 2009. The production played 3 days to over 1000 international audience members and was hailed as one of the finest works at the worlds largest and most reputable puppetry Festival in the world. The fable created by Frank Maugeri and novelist Joe Meno traveled to the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles to participate in the first-ever Toy Theater Festival.

Dream Masons

Drawing on water mythology and history unique to Tasmania, Dream Masons, a new spectacle by Redmoon Artistic Director Jim Lasko, designer Joey van der Werven, and director and puppeteer Jessica Wilson, transforms the facade of the iconic Salamanca Arts Centre (SAC) into an awesome theatrical spectacle of grand proportions.
Millennium Park Founder’s Dinner

At this spectacular private party, large opaque clouds made from lace and delicate bedding hung from the ceiling with a backdrop of night blue. Each cloud held either a trio of musicians playing ethereal, playful and at times eerie and dreamlike music, or characters asleep in beds.
Art Institute Ground Breaking

Redmoon Theater activated the north garden of the Art Institute by creating a ritual of giving, adoration and hope. The Groundbreaking Ceremony anointed the garden with flowers, scents, sound and ritual activity, honoring the old and celebrating the new.

In celebration of Millennium Park’s Grand Opening Redmoon Theater provided a large-scale illumination ceremony. Seventy performers dressed in elegant earth toned kimonos processed into the park over the bridge waving large white flags.
